1. The short version
3D Capture Pro Studio is the free Mac companion of the iPhone and iPad app 3D Capture Pro. It builds 3D models on your Mac from the photos your phone sends over your own Wi-Fi. We do not collect, receive or store any of your data. The privacy policy of the iPhone and iPad app is here.
- Your photos and models stay on your Mac and on your phone
- Photos arrive directly from your phone over your own Wi-Fi, and the link is encrypted
- No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs
2. What we collect
Nothing. Nothing from Studio is ever sent to us. What Studio itself handles, all of it yours and kept on your Mac:
- Photos your phone sends, with the motion data, camera positions and object outline saved with them
- The name of your phone and a random number that identifies that install, so Studio can show which phone is connected
- The 3D models Studio builds
- Pairing details: the pairing code and a private key that proves to your phone that this Mac is yours
- Your settings
3. What is stored and where
- Photos, working files and finished models are kept in the Studio folder of your own Mac account (inside the app's sandbox container)
- To remove a job, delete it inside Studio. To remove everything, delete the app and its folder
We keep no copy of any of this, because we never receive it.
4. Network access
- Studio uses your local network only. It makes itself visible on your Wi-Fi so your phone can find it, and it accepts connections from phones that know the pairing code
- The link is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, using keys agreed with a P-256 key exchange. The phone remembers the fingerprint of this Mac and refuses another computer using the same name
- Studio does not connect to the internet and does not contact any server of ours. 3D models are built on your Mac with Apple's Object Capture
- When you download Studio from our Mac apps website, the website's hosting provider receives the usual connection details of the request, such as the IP address. Studio itself never contacts that website
5. Permissions we request
- Incoming network connections (the macOS App Sandbox network entitlement): so your phone can send photos to this Mac. macOS may ask you once
- Folders you choose: when you import photos or save a model
We do not ask for the camera, screen recording, accessibility, contacts, location or microphone.
6. What we do not do
- We do not sell, share or rent any data, because we have none
- No analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind
- No accounts or sign-in
- Your photos are never used to train AI models
- No third-party SDKs that collect data
7. Children
3D Capture Pro Studio is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since nothing is collected, there is nothing to share.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page and the "Last updated" date changes. If a change is important, it is also mentioned in the update notes.
9. Who publishes this app
3D Capture Pro Studio and 3D Capture Pro are published by Official Vishwateja, an independent developer: one person, Vishwateja S B. There is no company data team and there are no third parties involved.
