How do I add a new prompt?
Click the "+" or "Add" button in the app, enter a title and your prompt content, assign a category tag if needed, and save. Your prompt will appear in the grid immediately.
How do I copy a prompt quickly?
Click the copy icon on any prompt card, or click the card to open it and use the copy button. The content is instantly copied to your clipboard.
How do I search for a prompt?
Use the search bar at the top of the app. Type any word from the title or content and the grid filters in real time.
How do I delete a prompt?
Open the prompt card, click the edit/delete button, and confirm deletion. This action cannot be undone.
Is my data synced to the cloud?
No — all your prompts and snippets are stored locally on your Mac. Nothing is synced or transmitted to any server. Cloud sync may be added in a future update.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is stored locally on your Mac inside the macOS App Sandbox. We never collect, access, or share your information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What macOS version is required?
Prompt Notes Pro requires macOS 12.0 (Monterey) or later. It is optimised for Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs.
How do I back up my prompts?
Your prompts are stored in your Mac's Application Support folder and are included in Time Machine backups automatically if Time Machine is enabled.
